Livorno inaugurates two apartments for independent living

The city of Livorno has inaugurated two new apartments, Casa Libeccio and Casa Maestrale, designed to promote independent living for people with disabilities. The project aims to provide inclusive and supported environments for up to twelve individuals to experience autonomy.

The apartments have been fully renovated and equipped with home automation and assistive technologies to ensure accessibility. The project was funded by an investment of over 300,000 euros through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Federico Mirabelli, the Councilor for Public Works, highlighted that the initiative integrates public works with social inclusion and autonomy.
