Livorno to host 'Shopping sotto le stelle' night on July 16

Livorno’s historic centre will stay open late on Thursday, 16 July for the ‘Aperitivi e Shopping sotto le Stelle’ event organised by Confcommercio Livorno in partnership with the municipality and the Chamber of Commerce of Maremma and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Shops along Via Magenta, Via Ricasoli, Corso Amedeo, Piazza Cavour, Via del Fante, Via di Franco and Via Grande will remain open until 23:30.

From 19:00 to 21:00 participating bars and cafés will serve themed cocktails, and from 19:00 onward live music will play in three locations, including a 60‑2000s set by Gli Anni in Piazza Grande and a travelling cartoon cover band by Miwa. Alessio Giovarruscio, Confcommercio Livorno’s union representative, said: “Lo scopo è offrire una serata di qualità che valorizzi il cuore della città e favorisca la frequentazione delle attività commerciali.” Thirteen venues will present drinks ranging from Aperol Spritz to Italian Iced Tea, with dance performances by local groups.
