Livorno to host tenth Ninja Challenge obstacle racing event

The tenth edition of the Ninja Challenge will take place in Livorno, Italy, on August 29 and 30, 2026. Held at the Terrazza Mascagni, this marks the first time the event will be hosted outdoors, a move intended to increase public visibility for the discipline.

Organized by ASD Ninja Cave and included in the Italian Modern Pentathlon Federation's obstacle championship calendar, the competition features athletes from across Europe. The Saturday session serves as the final for both the Italian Ninja Championship and the Italian Obstacle Championship. Notably, the Livorno event is the only Italian date qualifying for the 2027 Ninja World Championships.

The competition involves navigating 10 to 15 new obstacles over a distance of 50 to 70 meters, which athletes must discover on the day of the race without prior testing. Categories include Young Adults, Adults, Elites, Masters, Rookies, Teams, and a dedicated Kids category for ages 6 to 14.
