Livorno waste management policies criticized by Guarducci

In Livorno, political representative Guarducci has criticized the current administration's waste management policies, labeling them a failure. The criticism follows the failure to meet the 2026-2028 objective of extending the 'Tarip' (point-based tariff) system across the entire municipal territory.

Guarducci noted that the extension has been postponed to next year without a clear or verifiable schedule. Furthermore, the representative highlighted that approximately 350 electronic waste bins, representing a public investment of roughly one million euros, have been installed for three years without a fully operational tracking system. This has reportedly led to improper waste disposal, increased urban degradation, and 'waste tourism.'
