Liza Keane debuts post-apocalyptic SS27 collection at London Fashion Week

Designer Liza Keane made her London Fashion Week SS27 debut with a collection titled ‘Rain On My Parade,’ presented at 180 The Strand. The show featured a post-apocalyptic theme, set in the aftermath of an undisclosed disaster where survivors are depicted as having lost hope and beauty.

The runway was transformed by the design studio playbody into a brutalist environment featuring concrete breezeblocks, metal scaffolding, and a tarpaulin-lined trough. The presentation included industrial rainfall and lightning illuminations, with models navigating through water and mud. The collection included elements such as waxed leather, black cloaks, gauzy white dresses, and shredded fabrics.

To enhance the immersive experience, the show incorporated olfactory notes provided by Escentric Molecules and an ominous score by DJ Hezen. The visual narrative utilized figures painted in silver or plaster-white to act as ‘angels’ within the decaying, atmospheric setting.
