Liza Soberano joins Golden Globes Impact Prize jury

Filipino actress Liza Soberano has been named to the jury for the Golden Globes Impact Prize for Documentary. Presented by the Artemis Rising Foundation, the prize will be awarded during the 83rd Venice Film Festival, which runs from September 2 to 12. The jury aims to recognize documentary features that use storytelling to highlight significant social issues. The winning documentary will receive a $10,000 cash prize.

Soberano will serve on the jury alongside Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne and several Oscar-winning producers. This follows a previous partnership between the Golden Globes, Artemis Rising Foundation, and Think-Film Impact Production at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

In addition to her jury role, Soberano is promoting the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film ‘Forgotten Island’. The animated feature, which features Soberano and singer H. E. R., is inspired by Philippine folklore and traditions. Soberano noted that the film includes cultural details intended to resonate specifically with Filipino audiences.
