Singer Lizzo discussed the emotional impact of recent public backlash and career shifts during an appearance on the “Armchair Expert” podcast with Dax Shepard. The 38-year-old artist described a period where she felt as though her “life is over” due to a dramatic change in public perception.

Lizzo noted that while she was operating at “full throttle” with a clothing line, television projects, and music, she had not fully grasped the extent of her fame. She expressed that the intense negativity she faced felt different from previous minor criticisms, leading her to wonder if she should “cease to exist.”

The singer's recent professional challenges include her latest album, “B-TCH,” missing the Billboard Top 20, as well as legal controversies. In August 2023, former backup dancers filed lawsuits against her and her production company, alleging sexual, religious, and racial harassment, as well as disability discrimination and a hostile work environment.
