Ljubljana hosts annual March for Life
Hundreds of people gathered in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for the annual March for Life, an event held to advocate for the value of unborn life and to promote support for women in difficult pregnancy situations.
The event featured a mass led by Archbishop Stanislav Zore at the Church of the Annunciation, followed by a program at Prešernov Square. This year’s theme, “The heart beats already 22 days after conception!”, was used by organizers to highlight early fetal development.
Speakers included Dani Siter, co-founder of the Family and Life association, who shared a personal story regarding his mother’s decision to carry her pregnancy to term, and Urša Cankar Soares, the event coordinator, who emphasized the need for societal conditions that prevent women from feeling forced into abortion. Additionally, representatives from the Sara Center and Zavod Živim provided information on counseling for pregnant women and resources for those experiencing regret following medical abortions.
