The 2026 European Table Tennis Championships in Ljubljana are underway, featuring intense competition across singles, doubles, and mixed categories.

In the German delegation, Dang Qiu enters the tournament as a major contender for the singles title following a recent victory in Astana. Other German players, including Anton Källberg, are also in contention for medals. In the qualification rounds, Wim Verdonschot, Kay Stumper, Franziska Schreiner, and Ricardo Walther all secured spots in the main draw. In mixed doubles, Benedikt Duda and Nina Mittelham earned a victory against the Turkish pair.

Italian athletes have seen mixed results. Matteo Mutti and John Oyebode secured victories in the men's singles, while Nicole Arlia won a close five-set match in the women's singles. However, Francesco Trevisan was eliminated in the singles, and both Italian men's doubles pairs were knocked out of the competition.

Swedish players, including Truls Möregårdh, are also participating in the hunt for individual titles in Ljubljana.
