LL Cool J returns in NCIS: New York spinoff

The NCIS franchise is expanding with a new spinoff series, ‘NCIS: New York’, set to debut on October 6. The show features the return of LL Cool J as Special Agent Sam Hanna, who moves from Southern California to New York City following a personal tragedy.

The series premiere centers on the death of Hanna’s friend, Navy reservist Jack Halloway. Hanna seeks permission from the New York NCIS office director, Robyn Wells, played by Jennifer Beals, to investigate the case alongside colleague Nick Schaeffer.
