Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza cancelled due to financial concerns
Organisers have cancelled the Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza, which was scheduled to take place from November 19-22. The decision follows a period of significant stall holder cancellations and outstanding payments from confirmed traders.
Organiser Chris Williams stated that the event could have resulted in a £25,000 loss. As a not-for-profit organisation, the organisers noted they could no longer confidently meet the substantial costs required for infrastructure, security, licensing, and entertainment. Williams defended the event's application process, citing the need to ensure all participating traders are legitimate businesses.
All stall holders who have already made payments will receive a full refund. While the Christmas event is cancelled, the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is still scheduled to proceed during the bank holiday weekend of May 1-3, 2027.
