Llanera and Cauto Cristo conclude summer community programs

Municipalities in Spain and Cuba are concluding summer recreational programs designed to support families and community engagement.

In Llanera, Spain, the municipal summer camp program at the San José de Calasanz school in Posada de Llanera is set to end on September 7. The initiative provides free activities, including sports, arts, and reading, with schedules adapted to working parents' hours. Mayor Eva María Pérez emphasized that the program aims to improve family quality of life and includes specific resources for children with special educational needs.

In Cuba, the Cauto Cristo municipality in Granma has been recognized for its summer programming. Led by Anabel Silveira Álvarez, the initiative coordinated efforts between sports, culture, and education sectors to provide recreation in communities such as Babiney, Tranquera, and La Seis. Despite economic challenges, the program offered diverse activities for all ages to improve local quality of life.
