Llanes announces Samaín 2026 Halloween festivities

The Llanes City Council has unveiled the 'Llanes de Miedo, Samaín 2026' program, a series of Halloween-themed activities scheduled for October 31 and November 1. The event aims to boost local dynamism and citizen participation through various competitions and public performances.

Key competitions include the IV Children's Costume Contest, featuring individual and group categories, as well as the IV Facades and Gardens Contest, which has expanded to five prize tiers. Additionally, the VII Business Contest and the VII Bars and Restaurants Contest will offer prizes to local commercial establishments. Total prize money across these categories amounts to approximately 3,000 euros.

On October 31, activities will center around the City Hall, including free face painting, a photocall with performances, and a costume parade featuring the Compañía Teatro Despierto and Mariachis Águilas de Jalisco. The evening will conclude with the 'Llanes Music' concert at La Talá. On November 1, the festivities will include a 'Pasaje del Terror' (Terror Passage) at the Espacio Joven in Las Marismas for audiences aged 8 and older.
