Regional initiatives launched in Chubut and southern Chile

In Argentina, the Chubut government is implementing several regional initiatives. The Ministry of Human Development organized training for security forces in Camarones to improve the detection of human trafficking. Additionally, a training session was held in El Hoyo for teams from the Comarca Andina to strengthen institutional responses to gender-based violence.

The province is also conducting a survey of audiovisual locations in the Meseta and Cordillera regions, including El Maitén and Cushamen, to integrate them into the Argentina Film Commission database. This aims to promote local film and television production.

In Chile, regional authorities are working on gender-focused agendas. In the Los Ríos region, a citizen dialogue was held to define priorities for the 2026–2030 Regional Gender Agenda. Similarly, in the Los Lagos region, more than 50 women from the Llanquihue province participated in discussions to establish the foundations for their own regional gender agenda, focusing on topics such as economic autonomy, health, and caregiving.
