Llay Llay residents bring toll road grievances to Chilean Congress

Residents of the Las Vegas sector in Llay Llay have presented their grievances regarding the Las Vegas toll booth to the Chilean Chamber of Deputies' Investigating Commission on highway concessions, tolls, and TAG. Community leaders, alongside Mayor Edgardo González and Deputy Nelson Venegas, highlighted the daily difficulties caused by the lack of U-turns near the toll station.

Currently, residents must travel approximately 16 kilometers of additional distance to enter or leave their homes. The community is urgently requesting the implementation of provisional U-turns before and after the toll to mitigate these displacements.

Additional demands include a review of current toll rates, the restoration of a bus stop near the Las Vegas pedestrian bridge for southbound-to-northbound travel, and improved safety at the E-405 railway crossing. The commission members have agreed to formally submit these requests to the Ministry of Public Works (MOP).
