Lleida Air Challenge to feature 2,000-drone spectacle

The 12th edition of the Lleida Air Challenge will take place on October 3 and 4 at the Lleida-Alguaire Airport. This year’s event focuses on technological innovation, specifically artificial intelligence and advanced air mobility.

A major highlight of the fair will be a night-time drone spectacle featuring 2,000 drones performing a synchronized 20-minute choreography. This is expected to be one of the longest and most concentrated drone displays held in Catalonia to date.

The event also includes an academic component designed to introduce 250 students from five local institutes to careers in aviation, aerospace, and new technologies. International industry leaders, including DJI and the French company Instadrone, are set to participate, alongside organizations such as ENAIRE and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center.
