Lleida City Council exceeds Catalan transparency average

The Lleida City Council has scored significantly above the Catalan average in the latest Transparency Index of Catalonia (ITC). According to the report released by the Catalan Ombudsman, the Paeria of Lleida achieved 89.06 points, surpassing the regional average of 69 points and exceeding the average for municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, which stands at 83 points.

The index is calculated based on two metrics: the right of access to public information and active publicity. Lleida scored 90.26 points in the right of access to information and 87.87 points in active publicity. The City Council is the only entity in the Lleida demarcation to exceed 80 points, while the University of Lleida followed with 79.76 points.
