Lleida cyclists say river path still closed as city pushes Victor Torres avenue redevelopment

Local cyclists in Lleida have contested the municipal claim that the Camí del Riu river path is open, insisting the route remains closed for pedestrians and cyclists. The city council had announced a week earlier that the pathway had been reopened, but the cyclists’ “rectification” highlights ongoing accessibility concerns.

At the same time, the Lleida city government approved an urbanisation project for the Victor Torres avenue, linking the LL‑11 road with Pla d’Urgell and providing direct access to the forthcoming Shopping Promenade Lleida commercial complex in Torre Salses. The plan includes new roundabouts at the intersections with Palauet and Pla d’Urgell, and will improve connectivity between the neighborhoods of Cappont, Bordeta, Mangraners and Torre Salses.
