Lleida municipal government approves urban infrastructure projects

The Lleida local government board has approved several urban development projects, including the expansion of Víctor Torres Avenue. This project, budgeted at 5.6 million euros, will serve as the main access to the future Torre Salses shopping center and improve connections between La Bordeta, Els Mangraners, and the southern bypass. The costs for this expansion will be covered by the Promenade promoters under an agreement with the City Council.

Additionally, the council has authorized the demolition of the former Gardeny nightclub and adjacent buildings from the old military barracks. The site, which has been vacant since 2018 and subject to vandalism, will undergo urban redevelopment with a budget of 322,979 euros. Other approved tenders include veterinary services for the local animal shelter and maintenance for Horta paths.
