Lleida police arrest two men after man found dead in wasteland

Two men, aged 18 and 43, have been arrested by the Mossos d’Esquadra in connection with the violent death of a man in the Bordeta neighborhood of Lleida. The victim's body was discovered in a wasteland near Carrer Palauet after a passerby alerted emergency services on Saturday afternoon.

Preliminary investigations suggest the victim suffered a severe head injury, possibly inflicted with a heavy tool such as a shovel or hoe. Police believe a dispute occurred between the individuals involved prior to the assault. The two suspects are reportedly known to the victim, though the exact motive and the nature of their relationship remain under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC).
