Former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt has joined Alex de Minaur’s coaching camp for several weeks to assist the Australian during the China Open in Beijing. This direct involvement comes at a critical juncture in the 2026 season as De Minaur attempts to secure a spot in the ATP Finals in Turin.

De Minaur, currently ranked 11th in the Race to Turin, recently advanced to the quarterfinals in Beijing after a comeback victory against Quentin Halys. He is scheduled to face Andrey Rublev in his next match. De Minaur confirmed the collaboration, stating that Hewitt has always been in his corner and will be helping him through the next few weeks.
