Lloret de Mar hits record 13,000 Zona Verde parking activations

Lloret de Mar has reached a record 13,162 activations of its ‘Zona Verde’ parking system between the beginning of 2026 and September. This figure exceeds the total recorded for the entire year of 2025 and the initial figures from 2024. The municipality currently manages over 2,300 ‘Zona Verde’ spaces designed to prioritize resident parking, improve vehicle rotation, and organize public space usage.

In addition to resident benefits, a new policy implemented on September 7 allows non-residents to park for free during the first hour in regulated zones, provided they obtain a parking ticket. After the first 60 minutes, a rate of 0.049 euros per minute applies. This measure aims to support local commerce, restaurants, and sports facilities by facilitating short-term stays.

The city’s mobility strategy also includes approximately 360 deterrent parking spaces located at Can Lloranes and Avenida de les Alegries. Furthermore, the local government is working to launch 23 new electric vehicle charging points in municipal parking lots, expected to be operational this autumn.
