Lloret de Mar: Man arrested for alleged sexual assault of a minor

A 61-year-old Belgian man has been arrested in Lloret de Mar following the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl at the local bus station. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 6, around 8:00 PM.

According to reports, the suspect approached the minor, asked for her name, and wrote it down in a notebook. When the girl attempted to move to a different bench to distance herself, the man followed her and allegedly began touching her arms and legs, while also attempting to touch her genital area. The minor managed to flee the scene to find safety.

A bus driver witnessed the encounter and immediately alerted the local police. The suspect initially attempted to hide inside a parked bus but was intercepted by police patrols near Carrer dels Mestres while attempting to flee on foot. The case has been handed over to the judicial authorities.
