Lloyd Edge builds 18-property real estate portfolio in Sydney

Lloyd Edge, a former music teacher, has built a real estate portfolio consisting of 18 properties valued at approximately 912 billion VND (roughly $36 million USD). His journey began when he struggled to meet mortgage payments for a single one-bedroom apartment at age 28.

Edge transitioned from teaching to real estate investment in Sydney, Australia, through a process of self-study and risk-taking. After initially facing debt and insufficient cash flow from rental properties, he shifted his strategy toward property development. By focusing on creating new value through development projects rather than relying solely on market appreciation, he was able to generate significant equity.

He utilizes a “rinse and repeat” strategy, leveraging the equity gained from one project to reinvest in subsequent opportunities. Over a period of nearly 10 years, his passive income from real estate eventually surpassed his teaching salary, allowing him to achieve financial independence and leave his profession.
