Lloyds appoints Graham FitzGerald as Head of UK Manufacturing

Lloyds has appointed Graham FitzGerald as the new Head of UK Manufacturing for SMEs and mid-market businesses. In this role, he will also serve as the Regional Director for the Midlands and East.

FitzGerald will lead the bank’s manufacturing, aerospace, and defence proposition across the United Kingdom. His remit includes supporting business growth and helping companies navigate sector-specific challenges such as investment decisions, supply chain evolution, and skills requirements. He succeeds Dave Atkinson, who held the position for 38 years.

FitzGerald joins Lloyds with extensive commercial banking experience, including an 18-year career at HSBC. Most recently, he served as Head of Business Development at Inspirational Group. Amanda Murphy, CEO of Business & Commercial Banking at Lloyds, noted that manufacturing is a critical driver of the UK economy and emphasized the bank’s role in supporting business innovation and job creation.
