Lloyd’s Register appoints Jens Grunenberg as Senior Representative for Germany

Lloyd’s Register (LR) has appointed Jens Grunenberg as its Senior Representative for Germany, effective 1 September. Based in Hamburg, Grunenberg will represent the organization across Germany and join the Hamburg management team.

In this role, Grunenberg will focus on increasing engagement within the German maritime sector, enhancing LR’s market visibility, and assisting shipowners, operators, and industry partners with the organization’s service portfolio. He will also address industry challenges related to digital transformation, the energy transition, and evolving regulatory requirements.

Grunenberg brings over 15 years of maritime experience to the position, including roles in ship operations, fleet management, and technical leadership. His previous experience includes positions at AIDA Cruises, Deutsche Fischfang Union, TUI Cruises, and most recently as Fleet Technical Director at Royal Caribbean Group.
