Lluís Llach to discuss the future of Catalan music in Barcelona

The Lluís Llach Foundation and the SGAE Foundation, through the SGAE Territorial Council in Catalonia, have organized a discussion titled ‘Cançó, ahir i avui’ (Song, yesterday and today). The event is scheduled for October 6 at the Sala Mompou in Barcelona.

The conversation will feature singer-songwriter Lluís Llach, professor Lluís Meseguer, and singer Xantal Rodríguez. The panel aims to examine the history and future of Catalan music, offering academic, historical, and contemporary perspectives on the genre.

This initiative aligns with the philosophy of the Miquel Martí i Pol Prize, which rewards musical compositions based on Catalan poetry. The event is moderated by journalist Maria Cusó.
