Lâm Đồng province unveils 32,000‑ha coastal tourism city plan for Hòa Thắng

The People's Committee of Lâm Đồng province announced a master plan to develop the coastal commune of Hòa Thắng into a high‑quality tourism city covering more than 32,000 ha, encompassing the entire natural area of the commune. The plan projects the local population to reach about 112,300 by 2030 and 159,000 by 2050.

The development strategy balances residential zones, beach tourism, agriculture, aquaculture, renewable‑energy projects and ecosystem conservation. It designates a 7,130‑ha sub‑area within the national Mũi Né tourism zone to become a flagship coastal tourism district linked to the Bàu Trắng national scenic spot and the sand‑dune landscape. Planned facilities include a tourism port, public squares, thematic parks and extensive public‑space networks, organised into seven functional sub‑zones.

Nguyễn Hồng Hải, Deputy Chairman of the Lâm Đồng People’s Committee, said the area’s natural assets make Hòa Thắng a key growth pole for the province’s eastern region. He urged rapid public disclosure of the plan, swift implementation of field‑marking, stricter land‑use control to prevent illegal construction, and prioritised investment in technical and social infrastructure.
