Líneas 1 de Mayo denies involvement in alleged fuel theft

Líneas 1 de Mayo, an industrial transport company based in Coahuila, Mexico, has issued a formal statement rejecting allegations of involvement in illegal fuel theft activities. The company’s response follows a report by Proceso magazine that linked the firm to illicit schemes involving businessman Julio R. González, who was reportedly detained in Eagle Pass, Texas.

In a letter addressed to the magazine's management, Líneas 1 de Mayo stated that the publication lacks verifiable evidence to support its claims. The company emphasized its 45-year history in the industrial transport sector across Mexico and southern Texas, asserting that its operations are governed by strict policies to prevent the trafficking of illicit goods and substances.

The company expressed concern that the unfounded allegations unfairly damage its reputation and could harm commercial relationships and stakeholder trust. Consequently, Líneas 1 de Mayo has formally requested that Proceso review its documentation and retract the claims linking the company to the described illegal activities.
