Lüneburg police investigate arson and violent incidents

Police in the Lüneburg, Lüchow-Dannenberg, and Uelzen regions reported several violent incidents and suspected arson cases during the week of September 3.

In Lüneburg, an arson attack on a parking deck on Alfred-Delp-Straße resulted in one vehicle being fully engulfed in flames, which then spread to two adjacent cars. Authorities suspect arson, and the damage is estimated at several thousand euros.

Other reported incidents include the total destruction of a garden shed in Uelzen and an assault at a sports field in Handorf, where a 21-year-old man sustained minor injuries after intervening in a confrontation between two men. Additionally, a physical altercation occurred between two men at a drugstore in Lüneburg.
