Lünen seeks volunteers for 2026 Christmas market decorations

The city of Lünen is calling for volunteers to serve as 'tree patrons' for its 2026 Christmas market. The Kulturbüro Lünen is inviting school classes, kindergartens, associations, companies, and private individuals to decorate Christmas trees in the Sternengasse area.

The initiative, now in its ninth year, aims to involve the community in the festive design of the market. Participants are encouraged to use their creativity to give the trees a personal touch.

The Lünen Christmas market is scheduled to run from November 19 to December 23, with the official opening set for November 23. In addition to the market in the pedestrian zone, a 'Lichtermarkt' (festival of lights) is planned to return to Tobiaspark, featuring a medieval-style setting and illuminated huts.
