Lạng Sơn promotes food waste reduction and environmental protection

The Lạng Sơn Department of Agriculture and Environment has proposed a collaborative effort with various local departments and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to support the 2026 'Make a Cleaner World' campaign. The campaign, themed ‘From a Clean Plate to a Clean City’, focuses on reducing food waste as a primary method to prevent waste generation and promote efficient resource use.

Key initiatives include increasing public awareness through digital platforms and local communities regarding food waste reduction in households, schools, restaurants, and markets. Additionally, the campaign encourages environmental sanitation, waste sorting at the source, and limiting the use of single-use plastics and non-biodegradable bags. Localities may also implement community-driven activities such as recycling programs and tree planting to foster a greener lifestyle.
