Lạng Sơn provincial party commission disciplines two deputy commune chiefs over 7‑billion‑dong embezzlement

The Lạng Sơn Provincial Party Inspection Committee examined disciplinary action against Phùng Văn Quang and Trương Xuân Hữu, both deputy heads of Tan Thanh commune. They are accused of embezzling nearly 7 billion VND from the state‑allocated funds of the Bắc Lệ temple management board.

The committee, chaired by Vũ Hoàng Quý, recommended that the competent authority impose party and state disciplinary measures. Both officials have been arrested and formally charged by the Lạng Sơn provincial public security office, which has also detained a total of 12 suspects tied to the broader theft of temple assets that began in 2024.
