Língua Terra Festival returns to Setúbal with Lusophone music
The sixth edition of the Língua Terra Festival will take place at the Fórum Municipal Luísa Todi in Setúbal on September 11 and 12. Under the theme ‘Connecting Worlds’, this year’s programming features a predominantly female lineup.
The event includes performances by Brazilian artist Josyara, presenting ‘AVIA Acústico’, and Cape Verdean singer Lucibela, who performs traditional genres such as morna and coladeira. Portuguese fado singer Gisela João will present ‘Inquieta’, a show dedicated to Portuguese intervention music.
In addition to concerts, the festival offers a Brazilian percussion workshop led by Juninho Ibituruna on September 12, followed by a samba circle with Nani Medeiros. The festival aims to use the Portuguese language and music as a meeting point for different cultures.
