Lnianek agricultural hall destroyed in major fire

A major fire broke out in Lnianek, within the Lniano commune, on Friday night. The blaze destroyed a masonry agricultural hall measuring approximately 250 square meters. Twelve firefighting units responded to the scene to combat the flames.

The fire posed a significant threat to an adjacent residential building. While firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the house, the residence sustained partial damage. The emergency response was complicated by the rupture of a tank containing approximately 3,000 liters of diesel fuel, which spilled and ignited, expanding the area affected by the fire.

Additionally, the presence of welding and technical gas cylinders inside the hall created a risk of explosion. Firefighters successfully removed the cylinders and cooled them in a water pool. Significant property losses were reported, including five vans, several passenger cars, tractors, and various agricultural machines. No injuries were reported, and authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
