Loana Petrucciani death causes revealed by Nice prosecutor

The Nice public prosecutor, Damien Martinelli, has released the official medico-legal findings regarding the death of Loana Petrucciani, the first winner of the French reality show ‘Loft Story’. Found dead in her Nice apartment on March 25, 2026, at age 48, the investigation has concluded that her death was ‘multifactorial’.

According to the forensic synthesis, the cause of death involved a combination of chronic substance use (alcohol and narcotics), an acute toxic concentration of sedative medications, and a medical metabolic failure occurring within a very precarious state of health. The findings clarify that while injuries such as a head wound were initially considered evidence of a fall, they were actually the result of a sudden collapse rather than the primary cause of death.

Investigators have formally ruled out any third-party involvement or criminal activity. While the toxicological results do not confirm a deliberate suicide, they also do not suggest an accidental fall was the sole cause. Meanwhile, the deceased's mother, Violette Petrucciani, has expressed anger and skepticism regarding the judicial process, questioning certain details of the autopsy and the communication of the results.
