Lobbyist under STF investigation visited Brazilian government offices
Roberta Luchsinger, a lobbyist and businesswoman, has been identified as having visited at least six offices within the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies since December 2022. These visits, obtained through the Access to Information Law, include the office of current Health Minister Alexandre Padilha and the Government Leadership office.
Luchsinger is currently under investigation by the Supreme Federal Court (STF) regarding potential influence peddling involving Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, the son of President Lula. The investigation follows the breach of her mobile phone data, which has also triggered two other inquiries at the Court.
Regarding the visit to Alexandre Padilha's office, his staff stated that ministers receive political actors from their home states, noting Luchsinger was a former state deputy candidate from São Paulo. Other officials, including Florentino Neto and José Guimarães, have provided varying responses regarding their interactions or presence during her recorded visits.
