Lobete Municipal Sports Center begins phased reopening

The Lobete Municipal Sports Center in Logroño will begin a gradual reopening starting Tuesday, September 1. The weight training room and multi-sport court will be the first to resume operations. Other facilities, including the swimming pool, spa, and ice rink, will reopen once ongoing energy efficiency improvements are completed.

The renovation project, which began in May, aims to reduce energy consumption and improve user comfort. The works are being executed by Veolia Servicios Norte S.A.U. with a budget of approximately 2.4 million euros. This initiative is part of an agreement between the Logroño City Council and the Government of La Rioja to modernize various municipal sports facilities.

While Lobete undergoes these upgrades, the Las Gaunas and La Ribera sports complexes remain fully operational, providing access to weight rooms and indoor pools.
