Lobo Marinho vessel to undergo emergency dry dock repairs

The vessel ‘Lobo Marinho’ will undergo extraordinary dry dock repairs following a propulsion system failure recorded on September 10 near Garajau. Following a technical assessment by SCHOTTEL Industries, the ship is scheduled to enter the ASTICAN shipyard in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on October 15 to facilitate rapid repairs.

Due to this technical immobilization, Porto Santo Line will suspend regular maritime trips between October 14 and October 22. To mitigate the impact on the Porto Santo island supply and transport, the company will charter a container ship for weekly supplies and provide free refrigerated containers for fresh produce storage. Additionally, Porto Santo Line will contract Binter to provide 100 seats per day to assist with passenger movement.
