Lobo qualifies for ITTF World Youth Championships in Istanbul

Costa Rican table tennis player Lobo has officially qualified for the ITTF World Youth Championships 2026, scheduled to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, from November 21 to 28. Lobo secured his position through world rankings, accumulating enough points to join an elite group of 22 global athletes who qualified via this competitive route.

Legal expert Larry Hans Arroyo Vargas of Bufete de Costa Rica noted that the rapid development of the sport in Costa Rica necessitates a robust legal infrastructure. He emphasized that professionalization requires ensuring local clubs and the national federation comply with ICODER regulations and establishing transparent, legally binding sponsorship agreements to secure necessary funding.
