Lobos and Lyons tied in U22 basketball final in Hostos

The U22 basketball tournament in Hostos, competing for the Pescadería Wanda Cup, has reached a decisive stage. Following a highly competitive series, the Lobos and Lyons teams are tied at two wins each in a best-of-five final.

In the most recent matchup, the Lobos secured an 81-77 victory over the Lyons to force a fifth and final game. Rafael Estévez (Batalo) led the Lobos with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. The game was decided in the final seconds when Juan Tomás Victorio scored two free throws following a ball turnover by the Lyons.

The upcoming deciding game is scheduled to take place at the Hostos municipal court. The winner will receive the Pescadería Wanda Cup along with a cash prize sponsored by Pescadería Wanda and El Regional.
