Lobos BUAP University Choir performs at Medellín International Coral Festival

The Lobos BUAP University Choir, directed by Maestro José Luis Rodríguez Sánchez, made its international debut at the 25th “Festival Coral Internacional de Medellín José María Bravo Márquez” in Colombia. The event featured concerts across Medellín and Antioquia, involving various choirs from Colombia and other nations, alongside musical presentations and workshops.

In addition to the festival, the 65-member ensemble participated in the 90th-anniversary celebrations of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB). The group joined the “Gran Coro Nacional UPB,” a large-scale performance uniting the university's various campuses in Medellín, Bucaramanga, Montería, and Palmira.

Established in 2022, the choir is an initiative of the General Coordination of Student Participation and Development (CGPDE) at BUAP. The ensemble is composed of undergraduate students who can receive scholarships through the program. The group is organized into four sections: sopranos, contraltos, tenors, and basses.
