Lobos Puebla faces El Calor de Cancún to decide postseason status

Lobos Puebla is set to conclude its 2026 regular season in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) this Tuesday and Wednesday. The team faces El Calor de Cancún to determine whether they secure a direct ticket to the postseason or must compete in the play-in phase.

Currently ranked fifth in the general standings with 17 wins and 9 losses, Lobos Puebla needs a series sweep and specific results from Astros de Jalisco, Fuerza Regia, or Panteras de Aguascalientes to advance directly. If they lose one or both games and certain other results occur, they will enter the play-in tournament. The upcoming series may also feature the debut of new reinforcement Rasid Mahalbasic.
