Lobos Puebla loses series opener to Soles de Mexicali

Lobos Puebla were defeated by Soles de Mexicali in the first two games of their 2026 Liga Caliente series. The opening match on 6 August 2026 at the Gimnasio Miguel Hidalgo ended 64‑86, with Michael Myers leading Puebla with 18 points while Connor Zinaich scored 22 for Soles. A week later the teams met again in the same venue and Soles won 80‑73; Elias King topped Puebla’s scoring with 23 points. Both contests were tightly contested, with Puebla closing the first half of the second game within two points (39‑41) before Soles pulled away in the final minutes.

The losses give Soles a 2‑0 series lead. Lobos Puebla will seek to rebound when they travel to face Panteras de Aguascalientes on 11‑12 August, while Soles look to maintain momentum in the remainder of the 2026 LNBP season.
