Local Action Groups provide funding for community and business investments

Local Action Groups (LAG) in Romania and Moldova are facilitating community development through targeted funding programs.

In Romania, the GAL/AFIR I3 call for "Investments for Creating New Jobs" has concluded. This start-up measure aimed to support local job creation with a total budget of 280,000 euros and a project submission ceiling of 560,000 euros. Individual support reached up to 70,000 euros in non-reimbursable funds, with a minimum selection threshold of 10 points.

In Moldova, the "Movila Măgura" LAG, which represents 34 localities across the Fălești, Ungheni, and Sângerei districts, has implemented 85 projects under the LEADER program. These investments, totaling over 10 million lei, have funded diverse initiatives including playgrounds, sanitation machinery, and business equipment, contributing to the creation of 16 jobs.
