Local administrations in Romania repair bridge infrastructure
Local administrations in Romania have addressed infrastructure issues following community reports. In Costești, Vâlcea, the local administration led by Mayor Vasile Bărăscu repaired a bridge railing that had been broken by a fallen alder tree. The repair was completed within two days of the issue being reported by residents, restoring safe access to a local lookout point used by tourists and locals.
In Sibiu, the municipality repaired a pothole on a bridge near the Kaufland area in Șelimbăr. While a local resident noted the pothole had persisted for approximately two years despite multiple reports, Sibiu City Hall stated the repair was conducted alongside works on Aleea Șelimbăr. Officials clarified that the damage was limited to the asphalt layer and that water accumulation had not compromised the bridge's structural integrity.
