Local administrative and environmental initiatives launched in Vietnam

In Cốc San commune, representatives from five local administrative units—Lào Cai, Cam Đường, Sa Pa, Cốc San, and Hợp Thành—held an exchange program focused on leadership and management experience. The event, themed ‘Connection and Development’, allowed officials to share practical insights regarding land compensation, infrastructure development, festival organization, and digital transformation. Participants also reviewed the results of Cốc San’s implementation of a two-level local government model following its merger.

In Vân Đồn, approximately 1,000 participants, including officials, armed forces, students, and residents, conducted a large-scale environmental cleanup and urban beautification campaign. The initiative included a ‘trash for gifts’ program to encourage waste sorting and recycling among the community, aiming to promote sustainable living and urban hygiene.
