Local administrative and postal services in Italy undergo temporary closures

Several local administrative and postal services in Italy are undergoing temporary closures due to renovation and modernization projects.

In San Miniato Basso, the URP-Anagrafe front-office on via Aporti will close from October 5 to October 9, 2026, for acoustic improvement works. During this period, services including electronic identity card issuance, certificates, and residency declarations will be transferred to the Ponte a Egola office on via Ferrari. The Civil Status office in San Miniato Basso will remain operational.

In Gardone Val Trompia, the post office on via Generale Armando Diaz 1 will close from September 30 to October 30 for renovations under the Poste Italiane ‘Progetto Polis’. This initiative aims to transform counters into digital proximity services, allowing for expanded public administration tasks and passport requests upon reopening. During the closure, main postal operations will be handled by the Sarezzo office, though specific account and savings book services must still be managed through the Gardone branch.
