Local administrative changes in Alatri and Ladispoli spark controversy

In Alatri, new administrative fees for urban planning, landscaping, and environmental procedures have come into effect as of November 1. The changes include significant increases in costs for various filings. For instance, the fee for a CILA (communication of start of works) has risen from 52 euros to between 200 and 400 euros, representing an increase of up to 670%. Other fees, such as those for SCIA and building permits, have also seen upward adjustments. Local opposition leader Fabio Di Fabio has criticized the Cianfrocca administration, labeling the move as an excessive bureaucratic burden.

In Ladispoli, the municipal council approved a seven year waste management plan valued at over 41.3 million euros. The plan, led by Mayor Alessandro Grando, has faced opposition from the Un Nuovo Inizio – Governo Civico group. Critics, including councilors Alessio Pascucci, Roberto Garau, and Daniela Ciarlantini, expressed concerns regarding the lack of clarity on how the 5.9 million euro annual auction base will impact local Tari (waste tax) bills for families and businesses. The opposition also questioned the decision to move away from public management of the service and noted delays in implementing punctual waste taxation.
