Local administrative issues arise in Perugia and Trapani

In Perugia, city councilor Nicola Volpi has filed an urgent inquiry with the mayor and city council regarding a significant rodent infestation in the Porta Sole area. Residents have reported large rodents appearing daily near homes and garages. The inquiry seeks clarification on the schedule for extraordinary deratization treatments across nine specific streets and calls for a broader strategy to address the root causes, such as waste management related to tourism and nightlife.

In Trapani, local authorities are addressing the degradation of a damaged tensile structure at the fishing port. While part of the area is slated for a new outdoor fish market, municipal official Orazio Amenta stated that the space currently occupied by the dilapidated structure is planned to be converted into a parking lot. This redevelopment project is expected to begin in early 2027, pending funding and administrative procedures.
